#YogaBowl {the inside scoop on the lululemon warehouse sale}

Every year, Lululemon hosts one warehouse sale in the U.S. Previously, it’s been held in Chicago. This year it’s on Long Island at Nassau Coliseum. Yay!!!

A stadium full of luon? Yes, please!

Gia (Run Ambassador at Madison Ave) and I headed there last night for a sneak peak night of shopping for employees and ambassadors. The trek out to Long Island was totally worth it!

Lululemon Warehouse sale

Here’s a few things to know:

  • You may only purchase 20 lululemon items and 20 ivviva items.
  • Prices correspond with the color of the sticker on the price tag.
  • Most items come out to being 50% off (some less, some more)

What I saw a lot of on the racks:

  • Crops in different colors and sizes including running specific ones
  • Light colored long-sleeved swiftlys
  • Bright colored short-sleeved swiftlys
  • Running jackets
  • Dog Run Pants
  • Arm warmers
  • Scuba Hoodies
  • Random Groove and Astro Pants in various colors
  • Running gloves and ear warmers
  • speed shorts

What I didn’t see:

  • running tights
  • cool racerbacks
  • fun colored running socks
  • wonder unders

What I suggest:

  • Get there sooner rather than later!
  • Treat it like a sample sale. If you think you want it grab it and hold on to it.
  • Look at different sizes. i.e. a size 6 in crops doesn’t really fit much different than a 4.
  • Take two look throughs. My first time through the racks I missed a few things I ended up buying.

Other stuff:

  • ivviva: looks adorable and totally worth checking out if you have a young girl to buy for.
  • Men’s stuff: well let’s just say there weren’t many guys there shopping but Gia’s husband snagged a few deals.
  • Snacks: there are vendors setup outside to keep you fed, but if you plan on being there for awhile bring your own healthy snack.
  • Entertainment: D.J.’s will be blasting fun tunes and ambassadors will be doing acro-yoga, dancing and keeping you entertained throughout your shopping experience.

Hmmm I am really glad you posted this; I have been looking forward to (but kind of stressing out about the logistics/crowds/lines) this for a couple weeks and I honestly think I may not go tomorrow now.

The prices don’t seem that much better than the outlets for all the hassle even though obviously the selection is much better. Also sad you didn’t see cool racerbacks, those are my new fave thing!

We are lucky to live close to the Woodbury Commons outlet and I am in Orlando a fair amount and check out that outlet too when I am there!

I guess it will be a game time decision tomorrow.

Oh man….people running around at a sample sale-ish type thing for Lulu. I might steer clear although I’m sure there are great deals to be had!

    Jealous!!! I can’t make it. ๐Ÿ™
Usually I start to hyperventilate at sample sales (from panic, not joy), but I think I could get past that for Lulu!

Yeah, when it was in Chicago I didn’t feel like making the trek out to Rosemont for it and I totally regret it! Next time…

Jealous that I’m not local to take advantage. However, I do have a 70 degree day with sunny skies to help me get over it.

I love your blog and I love your attitude about sport, but (this coming from a writer and copyeditor) your spelling drives me bananas. It’s a cool RACERback. Please! Pay attention to the squiggly red lines!

Sorry, but there isn’t a red squiggly line under the word “razor” since I used the wrong word! Anyhow, I know my spelling and grammar blows. I’m a fitness professional not a writer or copyeditor. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m not sure what else to say.
