One of my personal training client’s number one question is how many variations of planks and push-ups can I possibly come up with? Obviously, I don’t have an answer to that question. I feel the same way about the topic of running. I could talk and write running related posts all day long. While “Running Essentials Thursday” is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean there won’t be more of these posts in the future.
As always if there’s a topic you’d like to see covered or you’re just looking for a new exercise or quick at-home workout feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll get your topic covered in an upcoming post.
As a thank you to you for following along this summer, I have two $15 Road ID gift certificates to pass on to two of you. To enter the giveaway, simply tell me what you’d like to see more of on FCITC this fall i.e. workouts, reviews, tips on specific subjects, etc. by Friday, September 9th. The winners will be announced Saturday, September 10th.

I’ve enjoyed your Running Essentials posts! Now that we’re changing seasons, I’d like to see more alternative ways to winter cardio (besides the treadmill) and home based workouts. Winter in Chicago is no joke & I’m not much for running in the snow/slippery conditions.

I’ve really liked reading about how your nutrition is evolving, so I’d love to see more of that…

I’m so happy to hear that you find those posts interesting. I def have plans to cover more of my nutrition “evolution”.
Angel says
I would love to see more posts on unique fitness opportunities in NYC!

I’d like to see some cross training posts with a colder weather alternative. I’m also not big on running during the winter and I’d like new ideas on ways to keep my stamina up.

I loved your running essential posts! They were great, especially while training for my first marathon : ) This fall, after the marathon, I hope to be doing less running, and more alternate forms of exercise. Maybe some posts on some other things to do besides running? And some more on nutrition?

I love reading your fitness class reviews but I just get jealous because I live in the wrong city.
I know you’ve covered this before, but I love your winter running tips – and I’d also love to see more at-home workout suggestions!

How about some fun workouts for different parts of your body (ie arms one week, abs the next, etc)?

I read tons of blogs any workout routine recommendations, but my downfall is trying to put it all together (mostly how and when to incorporate strength training) I would find it helpful to see examples for full weeks or a month of workouts. I’m active every day with some combination of walking (everyday), running (3 or 4x/wk), and biking (4 or 5x/wk) (at least while the weather cooperates) and then I try to fit in yoga and pilates 2 or so times per week. But I also want to include weights and this is where I try to do too much and get frustrated and I don’t know how to space it all out, so I usually just give up. Is it too much to do yoga and arms/back in the same day? two days in a row? What about my quads? My per quads never catch a break? I want to incorporate as much strength training as I can without doing ‘too’ much and not giving my muscles a change to heal.

I’m actually new to your blog, so I’m looking forward to catch up on your posts. So my answer would be all of the above!

I’d love some treadmill workouts. I’m a teacher and during the school year I have to run in the morning on the treadmill. I always get bored and would love some new ways to change it up.
Tara says
I would love to see more stuff on dealing with an injury or starting a fitness routine!
Christy says
I’d love to see more workouts…namely on core strength and strength training! I loved this series though so I’m sad to see it go! And I’ve been looking to buy a RoadID for some time so I hope I win!

I’d like to see some posts on how to get social and group support from work outs. Meeting new people with similar fitness levels/goals and how that helps in training.
Thanks!

Well I am not entering the giveaway because I probably wouldn’t use this giftcard, but I posted it on Facebook either way! The good news is that maybe this time next year I will use this, as I’m really getting into running lately (slowly..very very slowly…).
Jess says
Thank you for posting! I’m so surprised that you’re getting into running! =)
