A Much Needed Change: Saying Goodbye to FCITC

Change is one of the things I love most about life.

In 2009, I was sitting at a desk job (working in corporate wellness) miserable and unsure of what to do after realizing the job I coveted since grad school wasn’t the right job for me. What I did know was that I’m not a desk job kinda gal.

A colleague who I had cried many tears to during my short stent of wearing banana republic suits to work suggested I start a fitness blog.

A short time later, I left my “dream job” and launched Fit Chick in the City. The goal was simple, to share my professional knowledge and personal fitness experiences with more than just my personal training clients and class students.

When brainstorming a name and brand for myself, I knew that “in the City” was a limited name but for reasons unknown to me in 2009. Blogging changed everything for me. It opened doors to new adventures, new friendships and to a bigger world. The opportunities were thrilling and I couldn’t believe that starting a blog could make a few of my childhood dreams come true.

After the first few years, the newness wore off and I started to crave something different, but I wasn’t quite ready to give this and all it’s given me up. I had an identity I had worked hard for and wasn’t willing to give up.

A year ago I knew FCITC no longer fit me or my business goals but I just couldn’t let go. Well, a year or so later I’m ready to let go – finally!

Fit Chick in the City is saying goodbye as I officially re-brand and and make my new dreams come true.

You can now find me in the following places:

I hope you will enjoy the new content and will follow me on this new(ish) adventure! Thank you for all of your support.
