Creamsicle is one of those flavors that takes me back in time. My taste buds have been deprived this flavor combination for way too long. After returning from a run with my husband this past weekend, I immediately wanted to make a green juice for myself. I also wanted to make something for him, but he’s a bit squeamish when it comes to eating anything he deems “healthy”.
The plan was to make him a simple carrot-ginger concoction and hope for the best. That was until he suggested we add an orange into the mix. Being new to juicing neither of us had a clue as to how this would turn. The end result was the most delicious drink I’ve ever made.
If he likes it, then anyone that likes the flavor of creamsicles is sure to like it!
Orange Creamsicle Juice
- 2 Green Apples
- 4-5 Medium Carrots
- 1 Orange
- 1 inch of ginger (optional and surprisingly adds to the “creamsicle” flavor)
Run all ingredients through a high powered juicer, serve over ice or drink immediately.
In case you’re wondering, the juice I made for myself was horrible. Next time, it’s creamsicles for everyone!
This sounds amazing! I love experimenting with juicer concoctions and it’s especially rewarding when the result is yummy!
I LOVE Creamsicles! They take me back too 😀
This sounds incredible! Everyone always says when you juice the combination of apple and ginger is really great, but I can’t eat apples!! SUCH a bummer.
You know what this means? I officially need to buy a juicer.
Ha, my husband deems some things “too healthy” they’re generally green. Sounds delicious post run or any time. ginger makes everything better.
Always love the creamsicle anything! Here in CA, they call it 50/50 but I still say creamsicle! 😉
I’ve never heard it called that before!
This sounds so good! If I didn’t sell my juicer last year, I would make it! Oh well!
MMM. My son would love this!
