Soundtrack of My Workout: {Welcome to Plan C}

On Election Day, I’m reminded of where I was four years ago. After years of dreaming, I finally had my “dream job” working in the wellness department at a large corporation.

When I started grad school, I had two goals in mind:

Plan A: Marry a rock star, move to NYC, personal train clients in the morning as a hobby job so I could spend the rest of my day taking care of our one child.

Plan B: Move to NYC, work in some fancy office building developing corporate wellness programs, while teaching spin classes for fun after work.

When “plan B” came to fruition, I quickly found out that the thing I wanted was no longer the thing I wanted. Job security and a good pay check weren’t enough to feed my soul.

It turns out working in corporate wellness had nothing to do with wellness at all and sitting all day landing me in the Chiropractor’s office.

Sitting isn’t for me and neither is business casual.

Since you already guessed plan A didn’t workout either, welcome to Plan C.

*In full disclosure this is just my spin playlist for the week. 😉 So no need to read into the titles of the songs.

** By now I’m probably on plan Z.

*** I wrote this post last night but didn’t hit publish until a day later.

    Love changing plans!!! The number one lesson that I want my boys to learn is that it is better to make a change than to be miserable and stuck!!! Happiness far out-weighs the rest (even money). Hope your next plan is the winner!!!
