Icing on the Cake: Girls on the Run Spring 5k

It’s said you have to experience unpleasant things in order to better appreciate the sweeter things in life.

After Saturday’s debacle at the Mini 10k, the Girls on the Run 5k was like icing on a cake. If you’ve never experienced a race consisting of 400 8-12 year old girls, you should know there isn’t a better race to experience.

And if you find yourself in need of a hug, you’ll find hundreds.

    This looks like so much fun. I really want to get involved with Girls on the Run in the future…maybe next spring / summer when pumpkin is a tad older.

    Looks like a great time! I was upstate that day but would LOVE to join in the next Girls on the Run race. Great photos.
