They say “fake it till you make it.” And that’s exactly what I’m doing right now. With six weeks to go until the marathon I’m feeling as though I might not be able to make it through to reach my goals but…
I refuse to let go of all I’ve worked for the past nine months. I’ve hit a slump and I hope that pretending I’m as driven and excited now as I was in January will carry me through until I make it. I also have this song on repeat:
Like I tell my clients and keep telling myself, I have to push through even when on the surface I don’t feel like it, because deep down I know my heart’s desire. I know that if I don’t give this my all for the final stretch, I’ll regret it for a lifetime.

Hang in there! I’m feeling the same way about training for the Richmond Half Marathon — these past couple of weeks my motivation has taken a nosedive. Maybe it’s a symptom of hitting peak training? I’m reminding myself that taper is only a few weeks away … just gotta get the workouts done.
By the way, love your blog — really motivates and inspires me!
