A New Sports Bra Find

It can be just as difficult to find the right sports bra as it is to find a pair of shorts that doesn’t ride up. Our bodies are all shaped differently and each of us wants something a little different from a sports bra based on personal preference.

I generally wear one of two different types of sports bras based off what activity I’m doing. For teaching classes such as spinning, boot camp, core and total body conditioning  I prefer a medium to high support bra. For running, I want as much support as I can get.

I’m super crazy about my running sports bras. I want them to be tight leaving as little bounce as possible. I also replace them fairly often. My other sports bras don’t get replaced nearly often enough.

While at Lululemon yesterday before run club, I picked up two of the new engage bras.

Why I’m liking it:

  • Straps can be worn crossed for razorback tops or straight.
  • Adjustable straps for a better fit.
  • Fits snugly around the upper ribcage (which I wasn’t sure would be the case since there isn’t a back closure)
  • Provides a nice amount of support without feeling like I’m suffocating.

I’m not sure that I like this feature or not, but there’s a secret pocket inside. Actually, now that I think about it I use to stash money in my sports bra all the time when I didn’t have any pockets.

Do you ever stash money in your sports bra?

Love pockets for stashing! A lot of times I hit Whole Foods after a run, so I like to stash my apartment key, a credit card, and/or cash. I just wish there was a good place to safely secure my phone because it’d be good to have on my long runs…

I am really intrigued by this style – I have tried several lululemon sports bras on in the store but haven’t purchased any. This one looks like a great combination of some of the best styles and I look forward to seeing more reviews on it!

I have stashed cash, but not in a pocket. Unfortunately the bills got so sweaty, the bill reader in the vending machine wouldn’t take it (only teasing!!!! kinda, anyway). But I would LOVE the pocket to stash my MP3 player!

Hahah i’ve learned to stash my debit card and not dollar bills because they get so sweaty. One time I stopped for a water post run and only had a seriously damp bill. I felt SO bad for handing it over!

Love that you can change the straps. I’ve put my ca key in my bra before. The little clanking from the small metal ring on it annoyed me the whole time. Def a good place to stash stuff though!
