4 Random Things I’m Currently Obsessed With

Mindless T.V. Show:

Younger – TV Land/ Streaming on Hulu

The show follows a 40-year-old divorced mother, Liza, as she pretends to be a 26-year-old in order to get a job in publishing. The episodes are short and sweet and the content is light. I love shows that are based in NYC and I’ve enjoyed watching how Liza transforms over time.

Home Organization:

Deep Drawer Organizers from The Container Store

Trying to make space to accommodate a newborn in a one bedroom, pre-war walk-up apartment with 700 square feet of living space feels like living inside a jigsaw puzzle. I’ve never been great at organizing my living space especially given the cramped quarters, but I’m determined to learn new skills and make this space as comfortable for the three of us as possible. These drawer organizers are perfect because they are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate everything from baby hats and socks to bottle parts and pacifiers.

Reads:

How I Got This Baby Series – The Cut

Reading this series is a little bit like reading race recaps, but about a much bigger life event. I love this series because it profiles people from many different walks of life and proves that there isn’t just one way to go about having a baby. One day, in the near future, I hope to write something similar!

Podcast:

Dear Sugars

Cheryl Strayed (you might know her as the author of the best selling memoir, Wild) and Steve Almond (author of several books including a New York Times Best Seller) host this incredibly insightful podcast. It started out as an advice column where readers wrote in and asked their most pressing personal questions. They turned it into a podcast last year. I am not into podcasts but this one is short, sweet and to the point. They tackle hard issues and give great advice.

A New York Times article introducing the podcast when it launched last year, does a much better job at summarizing the series than I do. You can read it here.

What are you watching/listening/reading these days?

I’ve been so obsessed with home organization too and modern minimalistic home furniture. Terrible and expensive obsessions.

Home organization is everything…and then you do what you’re going do – especially after the baby arrives 🙂 Thanks for the new podcast! I like short, sweet and to the point.
