#HolidayCheer

Let's just get right to it, shall we? Giving gifts is fun! Today, I get to give one of you a gift from my "Gift Ideas for the Runner Who Seemingly Has it All", the Utopia Thermal Pant from Brooks. "Get warm without the weight in this comfy knit pant, for cold weather workouts or après run lounging. Shaped seams and piping at the yoke add nice, feminine lines and an asymmetric cut at the bottom … [Read more...] about #HolidayCheer

Base Building

It never ceases to amaze me how easy it is to lose fitness! It's been just around one month since I ran a marathon and I feel a little doughy and slow. Believe it or not, that's exactly how I should feel right now. The build up to the New York City Marathon was a long one. After my hamstring started to feel mildly better and I began going to Finish Line Physical Therapy last spring, every run was … [Read more...] about Base Building

Project Runaroni {Giveaway}

Katherine was my dear, speedy hostess for the Richmond … [Read more...] about Current Blog Crushes

On Saturday I headed downtown to Physique 57 for a workout with Chobani and Olympic Silver Medalist in the 400 meter hurdles, Lashinda Demus. The highlight of the afternoon was hearing Lashinda's story. Olympians never cease to inspire me with their superhuman athletic feats. The workout taught by Alex, was amazing as always. I have to admit it was interesting to see Lashinda struggle through … [Read more...] about Physique 57 Workout with Chobani + Olympian Lashinda Demus

Say it, Do it! {Dream Chaser}

A lesson learned in 2012 is that although things don't always go according to plan it doesn't mean having to let go of my plans. Especially if that plan is to train hard, run hard, and have the best marathon finishing time I'm capable of. It was my goal for 2011 and 2012.  And yes, it will yet again be my goal for 2013. On Friday night I stayed up late sketching out two marathon training plans. … [Read more...] about Say it, Do it! {Dream Chaser}
